Scion xD Release Series 1.0 Microsite From SolutionSet Erupts in "Hot Lava"
Innovative microsite promotes Scion's first limited-edition xD Release Series
Palo Alto, Calif. - May 30, 2008 - Interactive agency SolutionSet today announced the launch of a fiery new microsite promoting Scion's xD Release Series 1.0.
This first-ever Release Series model for the xD urban five-door subcompact, a limited edition of 2,000 numbered units, features unique "Hot Lava" exterior paint and special accessories, including a DAMD body kit and color-keyed rear spoiler, only to be found on this model.
In keeping with the Hot Lava color and Scion's campaign theme, "Get It While It's Hot," SolutionSet has produced an immersive online experience, setting the xD in the foreground of a geothermal urban landscape in which a volcanic eruption engulfs a stock xD in molten lava, revealing the xD Release Series 1.0 in a melt-away. Explosive manhole covers reveal windows in which users can zoom in and explore the finer details of this xD's unique standard features. A hidden mechanism also allows persistent visitors to create explosions at will.
